PC Crate's customer support has proven to be some of the best I've encountered! I am still relatively fresh in the PC scene, so I made a pretty rookie mistake. It wasn't catastrophic, but definitely could've been a huge nuisance. And it seemed like something most companies wouldn't want to fix on their end. But after contacting support, there were more than happy to swiftly help and mend the issue I made for myself. 10/10 experience

I had a buddy help me pick the specs I needed for the gaming I wanted to do and then it all got shipped to me in about a week. It came with instructions on how to assemble it, but I would maybe have someone who knows this stuff on hand just incase you get stuck. The price was extremely reasonable for what I purchased and looks great!

I remember my first computer build like it was yesterday, though it was actually a few decades ago. Somehow Dad found the time to research everything and buy just the right parts. I don't know who was more excited the day we picked up all the parts. Back then there was a computer store on every corner but they're wasn't any online shopping. This was before Google or Amazon were even born!

We jumped right into the build, both of us taking turns installing different pieces. First the power supply, then the mother board, the floppy drive, the hard drive, RAM, sound card, video card, dialup modem. It probably only took us an hour but it was one hell of a fun hour. The joy we felt when we pushed that power button and it roared and beeped and whirred to life, if you could bottle that feeling ...

Dad has since passed on, and my 11 y/o son is a big fan of all things technology, especially tech that he can play a game on. I dearly wanted to recreate that moment I had with my dad, with my son. I now run my own IT company and work business owner's hours. So the time i do have away from work is precious, and I know just how difficult it can be to pick just the right parts for a PC build, and how time consuming and frustrating it can be to troubleshoot incompatibilities. I found PC Crate in November of '23 when looking for exactly what they sell; all the parts, all compatible, bundled into one nice package that fits perfectly under the Christmas tree.

Well, Christmas came, he opened the box and was full of glee! It wasn't long until just like with my dad, we had the dining room table covered in boxes and wires and screws and manuals and oh my! It was a fantastic time building that computer with my son! I truly hope he remembers that day at fondly as I did with my dad.

You may have noticed the date on the review narrative is different from the date it was actually posted. Well, I'm back for more fond memories. My son's computer has been working perfectly for the last year, and now he can't keep his sister off of his computer! It's time to do it again!

This was the first time I have ever built a computer, and after using a pretty crappy laptop for the past 6 years I was a little unsure about making the switch to a desktop, but this website made it super easy! After figuring out what exactly I wanted for my computer, selecting the changes was super easy. There were some hiccups in the ordering process however, though through no fault of the PC Crate cite itself, rather with Shopify, but the support team was more than helpful in informing me of the issue and helping me fix it.
The build itself was quite fun, and after realizing I needed another power cable plugged into the motherboard I got it all up and running, and it's the best computer I've ever used!

Pc Crate made the process of getting the parts for and making a computer super easy and accessible. Not having done this before, reading all the articles and watching all the videos online made it very confusing. But being able to order everything all at once, knowing all the parts will work together was amazing. And it was really satisfying opening the box when it arrived and seeing all the parts together. And the included smaller pieces like thermal paste and a screwdriver was nice. Would recommend for another first time builder.

When it comes to PC building, PCCrate talkes the guesswork and aggravation out, but keeps all the fun in!

From start to finish, my son and I had a great time selecting the parts and building our PC together.
We had 2 issues during th build process, but when the Internet didn't help, Jordan and Joel at PCCrate did! Their responsiveness and thorough explanations really made the build experience much more comfortable.

I'd definitely recommend PCCrate for anyone who isn't 100% comfortable knowing what parts are compatible with each other.

I bought this computer to get into building PCs and to play games like MS Flight Sim and Forza 5 and it has met all my needs thus far. The customer service was great for helping me to decide the hardware I needed for my intended uses and they did not try selling me any hardware I didn't need. The build process was fairly smooth with the help of some Youtube, however the PCCrate Discord was a huge confidence booster when I wasn't sure if I had done things right. Overall I am very happy with the build and am excited to learn more about PC optimization.

I have had 4 desk mats of varying qualities. This is by far the best I've had. I won it in December 2022 from a reddit giveaway and it has survived washing, spit up, beer spill, coffee spills, cat scratches, and clorox wipes.

No curling on edges, the stitching is pristine, the backing is intact, and the colors remain vibrant. My other three did not survive 6 months and this one looks new after that period.

yes you can get "the same thing" from other places for $10, but they don't last and you'll save money just getting a quality product up front.

I purchased a computer for me and my son to build together like I did when I was his age. Well you know mistakes happen and my son bent the pins on the processor so the computer wouldn’t power on. After reaching out for help from the guys at Buildpccrate, they got us a new processor immediately with no hesitation. They were very responsive to emails. They even responded to emails late in the night answering questions. They made sure we were up and running and reassured us that if we needed ANYTHING that they would be willing to help or point us in the right direction! These guys are A1 in my book and the computer is running top notch!! We will be buying again! Thanks to all the people at Buildpccrate for the excellent customer service!

I'm not just old , I'm old old. Yes when I was born Ceazer was the President...although I I can type 60/w a minute ...I text 10 at best.
Joel talked to me for 15 min answered every question I can think of. I type this mainly if he has a boss , and good customer service these days needs to be acknowledged.

I have built every PC I've owned for the last 20 years, but when I saw that it was only 50 dollars to have PC Crate build it for me, I decided it would be worth it. I have a 3 and a 5 year old, so free time is limited for me.

The cable management was perfect. It was well packaged and came in great condition. Steam and Discord were preinstalled, which I thought was a nice touch.

The only issue I noticed was that two of the motherboard to chassis screws had come loose during shipping and were rattling around in the case, but that was an easy fix.

I do think that having a few more options for components when building your kit would be good, but the limited options may be because of supply issues or because they want to offer balanced and proven options to streamline support for people building their first PC, which is understandable.

Overall, I'm very happy with it and would recommend PC Crate to anyone looking to build a PC without some of the hassle of sourcing your own components or is looking for a solid pre-built at a fair price!

Even though I've done this before, having guidance (both written and chat) and a pre-planned guide helped me improve my airflow and cable management to a level that my previous build wasn't even close to.

My 5 stars is based off my happiness with the final build and the fast, friendly support.

Neutrals:

You probably ought to get a precision screwdriver. A medium sized screwdriver is included (a pleasant surprise), but that is only useful for the case screws, etc. The small screws on the motherboard are better serviced by a 3.0mm screwdriver you can get for a couple bucks.

Stay organized. Just good advice, but make sure you have a lot of room to lay everything out and take advantage of the order the guide says to open things so you don't have 10 kinds of screws to sort through.

Negatives:

It's not an all-in-one guide. Yes, it's significantly easier than doing it blindly yourself and it gives you a very solid roadmap, but you should expect to still do some research, read the manuals for the individual parts as you install them. Consider the manual like a highway map. You still need to look at the local maps for surface streets.

I didn't mind this, but if you're expecting this to just be like a lego set or IKEA furniture, it's gonna require just a little more digging to understand everything.
